Asset Manager - Offshore Wind

Purpose of role: Drive our business interests within the dynamic offshore wind sector. The primary purpose is to strategically manage our OSW asset portfolio, cultivate customer relationships, drive revenue and capital growth, and ensure compliance throughout the asset lifecycle. The role plays a crucial part in optimising value, mitigating risks, and identifying growth opportunities within the unique challenges of the sector.
Main Accountabilities:
- Business Development and Customer Engagement: Lead the charge in developing business interests by fostering strong customer relationships, engaging in commercial negotiations, and identifying opportunities to drive revenue growth
- Agreement and Lease Management: Oversee agreements for lease, license, and lease management processes, ensuring compliance and alignment with organisational goals
- Asset Performance and Reporting: Manage the day-to-day performance of assets, including reporting requirements and data analysis to guide informed decision-making
- Asset Disposal and Investment Management: Oversee asset disposal processes, including leases and investments, while optimising value and ensuring regulatory compliance
- Test & Development Projects: Manage test and development projects, driving innovation and technological advancements within the offshore wind sector
- Contract Negotiation and Compliance: Lead contract negotiation efforts and ensure contract compliance, adhering to health and safety regulations and business standards
- Risk Management and Regulatory Compliance: Implement robust risk management strategies and ensure compliance with regulatory and Health & Safety standards, fostering a secure operational environment
- Business Development and Commercial Due Diligence: Identify potential opportunities for value optimisation and growth through strategic business development and commercial due diligence
Knowledge, experience & skills
- Proven track record in asset management, business development, and customer
engagement, ideally within offshore wind but with an ability to demonstrate transferable skills - Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen to drive revenue and capital
growth - In-depth understanding of lease agreements, investment management, and asset disposal processes
- Proficiency in contract negotiation, compliance, and risk management
- Familiarity with and interest in regulatory and Health & Safety compliance
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer engagement
