Building Caretaker - St James Chambers

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Building Caretaker to undertake day to day responsibilities at St James Chambers, located in the heart of Central London. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth running of the property and maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all residents and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Key Handling: Manage keys for St James’s Chambers, 37 Duke Street, and 59/60 Jermyn Street.
- Resident Assistance: Address resident queries and provide general assistance.
- Maintenance Reporting: Identify and report maintenance issues, including fire alarm panels, common areas, lifts, leaks, lighting, and repairs.
- Contractor Oversight: Coordinate and provide access to contractors.
- Health and Safety: Report any health and safety issues immediately and maintain a safe environment.
- Cleaning Duties: Undertake cleaning tasks including hoovering, mopping, dusting, and brass cleaning.
- Refuse Management: Arrange daily removal of residents’ refuse.
- Post Distribution: Distribute post and parcels to residents.
- Emergency Handling: Manage emergencies and report to the wider team.
- Meter Readings: Supply meter readings to the utility broker as requested.
- Email Monitoring: Respond to emails sent to the Building Manager address.
- Ad-hoc Duties: Perform additional tasks as necessary.
Personal Requirements:
- Experience: At least five years’ experience in a caretaker or similar role.
- Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills.
- IT Skills: General knowledge of Outlook and IT skills.
- Health and Safety Knowledge: Preferential knowledge of Health and Safety law and the Building Safety Act.
This role will require the successful candidate to live on site
