Purpose of Role:
As a Senior Commercial Finance Analyst, you will support our FP&A team by providing insightful analysis and interpretation of enterprise performance for the Board and other stakeholders. Your forward-looking, driver-based financial forecasts will inform key decisions around business plans and capital allocation. You'll also be instrumental in identifying and implementing business efficiencies and improvements, particularly through automation and simplification.
Main accountabilities:
- Board and Committee Support: Assist in preparing papers and presentations, ensuring clear messaging and promoting meaningful conversations.
- Budget and Business Planning: Contribute to the annual budget and business planning process, providing insight and challenge on quarterly performance.
- Financial Modelling: Deliver financial modelling solutions for business planning and strategy updates, enabling flexible scenario analysis.
- Metrics Development: Develop and measure financial and operational metrics to support our evolving business model.
- Anaplan Expertise: Be a super-user and developer of our Anaplan budgeting and planning system, optimizing its analytic capabilities.
- Process Improvement: Streamline processes, improve efficiencies, and enhance reporting impact.
- Business Partnering: Act as a trusted Commercial Finance business partner, collaborating across functions to deliver desired outcomes.
- Ad Hoc Projects: Provide support for various projects as needed
What We're Looking For:
- Experience: Proven experience in financial report preparation, quantitative analysis, and producing visually impactful analytics.
- Skills: Exceptional Microsoft Excel skills, including complex financial model building. Solutions architect skillset is desirable.
- Capabilities: Clear communicator, able to present information logically and succinctly. Skilled in visualizing complex data and creating effective dashboards and infographics.
- Attributes: Commercially minded, dedicated, flexible, collaborative, and highly attentive to detail. Committed to learning and personal development with an analytical mindset and problem-solving aptitude.
- Qualifications: Qualified accountant with an excellent academic background.
