Purpose of Role:
As a member of the Learning and Development team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the development of TCE colleagues in alignment with our strategic goals and the People Strategy. You will help position learning as a enabler of transformation and future capability. This role is pivotal in shaping how learning is designed, delivered and embedded to drive change through systems implementation. You will equip individuals and teams with the skills, mindsets, and capabilities required to adapt, perform, and belong at The Crown Estate. Working closely with colleagues across People and Culture, you will contribute to the broader initiatives that foster agility, resilience, equity, and high performance, embedding learning that enables growth, development and future readiness.
This role will cover operational delivery during the maternity leave period, and also support the strategic shift in how learning is positioned and delivered. The successful candidate will balance hands-on project management with contributing to digital transformation initiatives.
Main accountabilities:
- Learning Programme Delivery: Grow and shape our learning programmes and experiences to deliver our desired behavioural change and build skills.
- Digital Learning: support the implementation of our new learning, performance and talent platform, in particular the learning\skills modules, and ensure existing platforms are effectively managed and optimised.
- Self and Team Development: Facilitate workshops, integrating Insights Discovery and Motivational Maps where appropriate, to enable individual and team development. Design and pilot new workshops using these tools and build into learning platform tools.
- Professional Qualifications and Apprenticeships: Act as the central point of contact for all professional qualifications and internal apprenticeship programmes ensuring alignment with policy and legislation.
- Operational L&D Delivery: including but not limited to: creating and executing engaging communications across all aspects of L&D to maintain and grow awareness; overseeing the L&D budget process and management with our Finance partner.
- People Management: Provide day-to-day task management for the L&D and Reward Coordinator (direct line management), in partnership with the People Operations Manager.
- Strategic Contribution: Support broader L&D projects aligned with the People strategy, embedding capabilities such as adaptability, resilience and inclusivity into such activities and processes as our performance management approach and embedding our behaviours.
Most important skills based requirements:
- Proven experience in an L&D Partner role, with a strong focus on learning design, facilitation and digital learning platforms.
- Experience in driving change through learning.
- Excellent communication, influencing and engagement skills
- Familiarity with systems implementation and change management principles.
- Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to prioritise and solve problems effectively
- Experience with Insights Discovery (or similar) desirable, familiarity with Motivational Maps beneficial.
- Experience of managing Apprenticeship Levy programmes.
- Up-to-date knowledge of L&D trends and ability to integrate best practice into programmes.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in data-driven evaluation of learning impact.
- Effective vendor and partnership management.
