Senior FP&A Manager at The Crown Estate
Purpose of Role
As Senior FP&A Manager, you will act as a strategic partner to the Director of FP&A, connecting financial planning and analysis to The Crown Estate’s long-term strategy, value creation priorities and key business decisions. This role plays a critical part in supporting sustainable commercial performance while helping to deliver lasting value for the nation.
You will lead business planning, forecasting and scenario analysis activities, providing clear insight and constructive challenge that enables senior leaders to make informed decisions across a diverse and complex portfolio.
Context of Opportunity / Main Accountabilities
This is an exciting opportunity to influence decision-making at the heart of The Crown Estate, partnering with senior stakeholders across multiple business areas and contributing to executive and Board-level discussions.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading the annual business planning, budgeting and long-range planning processes.
Owning rolling forecasts, scenario planning and financial models that support strategic decision-making and capital allocation.
Acting as a trusted FP&A business partner to senior finance and business leaders across the organisation.
Providing insightful analysis and constructive challenge on investment decisions, pricing, margins, returns and performance improvement opportunities.
Developing executive-level reporting, performance dashboards and financial commentary for senior leadership, governance committees and the Board.
Driving consistency and accountability across performance management frameworks, KPIs and forecasting processes.
Collaborating with Finance, Data and Transformation teams to enhance planning, reporting and analytical capabilities.
Leading, coaching and developing FP&A team members, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability and continuous improvement.
Most Important Skills Based Requirements
We are looking for a commercially minded finance professional who combines strong technical expertise with exceptional stakeholder engagement skills.
Key requirements include:
ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent professional qualification, supported by significant post-qualification experience within a complex organisational environment.
Outstanding financial planning, forecasting, scenario analysis and financial modelling capability.
Proven ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders through credible, data-driven insights and strong business partnering.
Experience translating complex financial information into clear and compelling recommendations for executive and Board-level audiences.
Strong understanding of performance management, governance reporting and KPI frameworks.
Commercial acumen with the ability to evaluate strategic trade-offs, investment opportunities, pricing decisions and return on investment.
Experience leading and developing teams, creating an inclusive environment where colleagues can thrive and perform at their best.
Familiarity with Enterprise Performance Management platforms, ideally Anaplan, and a passion for continuous improvement through data and technology.
Excellent communication skills, high attention to detail and the ability to operate confidently in fast-paced, senior stakeholder environments.
