Graduate Surveyor - St James's

Our purpose is to create lasting and shared prosperity for the nation.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Surveyor to join and support the St James commercial property management team. This role is designed for a Commercial Property Management trainee who will learn the role of a property management surveyor, with the aim of sitting the APC and becoming a Chartered Surveyor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • with various tasks including:
  • Lease reading and data workflows
  • Licensable work (licence for alterations, assignments, and underletting)
  • Attending customer meetings
  • Reporting and inspections
  • Financial reviews of turnover and side-by-side rents
  • Rent and service charge raising, collection, and arrears chasing
  • Handling utility queries

Requirements:

  • RICS accredited degree
  • Customer service experience
  • Proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office packages

Capabilities:

  • Willingness to learn on the job and contribute to live matters to gain experience
  • Theoretical understanding of Landlord and Tenant legislation
  • Ability to read leases and abstract information
  • Strong communication skills and a desire to deliver excellent customer service
  • Ability to prioritize and manage periods of intense activity
  • Good analytical skills
  • Ability to deliver consistent and rapid responses to all requests
