Marine Stakeholder Engagement Manager

Purpose of Role: The Marine Stakeholder Engagement Manager plays a crucial role in managing engagement activities within The Crown Estate’s Marine Strategic Business Unit. This role supports the delivery of business objectives by managing stakeholder relationships and engagement activities within the context of The Crown Estate’s Marine Delivery Routemap. The role promotes productive engagement and drives value by fostering collaborative relationships with external parties, including marine and statutory bodies, fisheries stakeholders, and local communities. The jobholder will drive the sustainable growth of the marine portfolio in alignment with the marine strategy and sector-specific objectives.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of The Crown Estate's marine industries and activities, as well as the wider context within which the business operates
- Strong understanding of marine science and policy, the environment, and regulation
- Proven experience managing relationships with stakeholders, including fisheries stakeholders and local communities
- Proficiency in developing and executing stakeholder engagement activities
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to build relationships and engage with people both internally and externally
- Highly self-motivated, proactive, and collaborative approach to work, with drive and determination to succeed
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to identify priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Service-oriented with a high level of customer focus
- Ability to make sound, clear decisions that are well-considered and in line with our core values
- Experience contributing to, presenting at, and delivering events and workshops on technical topics
- Experience in procurement and managing external suppliers is desirable
- Experience in project or business process management with multiple stakeholder interactions
