Procurement Operational Support Co-ordinator
Advert Close date: 19th November 2026
Behind every well-run procurement is someone who keeps the information accurate, the process smooth and the colleagues informed. That's this role. As our Procurement Operational Support Co-ordinator, you'll keep our procurement operations running well, so the whole team and the business can deliver with confidence.
You'll look after the data, systems and documentation that make procurement work, and be a friendly, knowledgeable first point of contact for colleagues across The Crown Estate. If you enjoy accuracy, like improving how things work and want to build a career in public sector procurement, this is a great place to start.
What you'll be doing
Helping colleagues follow our procurement policies and guidance, and carrying out compliance checks across purchasing
Setting up new suppliers and keeping supplier records accurate, including insurances, accreditations and payment details
Maintaining the supplier database, contract register and other team data sources
Preparing and publishing Procurement Act 2023 transparency notices accurately and on time
Managing the procurement documentation approval process
Answering routine queries from stakeholders and keeping our Procurement Hub SharePoint pages up to date
Supporting market research and using data to spot ways to improve processes, reduce cost and add value
What we're looking for
Strong organisation, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
Experience in an administrative, analytical or support role, ideally in a commercial procurement setting
The ability to juggle priorities and meet deadlines
Experience with ERP systems, and e-procurement/e-sourcing or contract management platforms is highly desirable
Confidence in Microsoft Office and enthusiasm for new ways of working, including emerging technology such as AI
Excellent written and verbal communication, including the confidence to share outcomes that may not be welcome
An understanding of public sector procurement and a desire to develop, e.g. CIPS qualified or working towards it
