Senior Commercial Finance Analyst (FP&A)

The Crown Estate is recruiting for a Senior Commercial Finance Analyst to join the FP&A team on a permanent basis to support in providing insightful analysis and interpretation of enterprise-wide performance for the Board and other stakeholders, including preparing forward looking, driver-based financial forecasts and supporting the annual budgeting and planning cycle.
You will be a super-user and developer of our Anaplan planning software, innovating and adapting the tool to the financial and operational needs of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the co-ordination and preparation of performance reports for Board and committees, ensuring clear messaging and providing analysis that promotes meaningful conversations.
- Assist with the annual budget and business planning process, and provide insight and challenge on actual quarterly performance. To include the delivery of financial modelling solutions for the annual business planning and strategy updates, ensuring a driver-based longer-term view, with clear and integrated financial targets and KPIs. Enable flexible scenario analysis that compares profit, capital, valuations, and non-financial performance indicators.
- Develop and measure meaningful financial and operational metrics to support our evolving business model, highlighting trends and reporting on variances.
- Be an expert user and developer of the Anaplan budgeting & planning system, helping to champion its use and optimise its analytic capabilities.
- Actively look to streamline processes, improve efficiencies, resilience and enhance the impact of reporting.
- Act as a trusted Commercial Finance business partner, collaborating with a diverse group of colleagues across functions, to deliver the desired outcomes.
Required Skills:
- ACA/CIMA qualified accountant, with excellent academics.
- Experience of working within teams to achieve a common goal.
- Financial report preparation and quantitative analysis.
- Experience of producing visually impactful analytics to suit the audience and aid decision-making.
- Solutions architect skillset: experience of delivering system upgrades whilst understanding and rationalising financial impacts, minimising disruption and creating value.
- Highly numerate, with exceptional Microsoft Excel skills, including the building of complex financial models.
- Significant experience of working with large datasets and BI tools.
- Experience to Level 1 of Anaplan.
