Category Buyer (FTC - 18 months)
Are you passionate about optimising procurement processes and ensuring efficient project spend?
Join our dynamic team as a Category Buyer, where you’ll manage and optimise the procurement of goods or services within a specific product category. You’ll play a crucial role in supporting Category Managers with reporting and analysis, ensuring compliance, and driving efficiency.
Main Accountabilities:
- Execute all project spend effectively across TCE.
- Support project teams with analysis and spend reporting.
- Ensure buying compliance and control.
- Collaborate with budget holders to ensure timely payments to suppliers within 30 days.
- Monitor and manage open orders with suppliers alongside budget owners.
- Create projects in Agresso and produce associated reports.
- Address internal queries to ensure prompt payment to suppliers.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure adherence to procurement guidelines.
- Serve as the “go-to person” for purchasing process support within the wider group.
- Support the transformation program by embedding new ways of working on Purchase to Pay, including Agresso guidelines and training.
- Complete administrative tasks essential for the effective operation of the sourcing department.
Knowledge, Experience, and Skills:
- Excellent administration background, ideally in a purchasing or equivalent environment.
- Proven ability to deliver reports and reconciliations with high accuracy.
- Experience working with ERP systems.
- Knowledge of VAT regulations.
- CIPS qualified or working towards.
