Purpose of Role:
This role is to support the Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Wellbeing (HSSEW) team to implement our Safety First strategy through:
- Supporting projects to be managed in a timely, effective way through to completion within budget.
- Ensuring foundational safety first aspects are in place and progressed for our employees including DSE management.
- Delivering high standards of data and system management to enable exemplary performance reporting and dashboards.
Main accountabilities:
• Lead on the document control of our management system ensuring all our
information is compliant, up to date and fully auditable.
• Audit our system and Internal process to ensure compliance
• Capture business data from various sources Including external stakeholders.
Assess and analyse the data ensuring accuracy.
• Produce high quality PowerPoint presentations and dashboards from the
business data collected highlighting trends, risks and performance Indicators
• Lead on quality control of HSSEW Information In line with GDPR legislation.
• Establish, own & maintain stakeholder relationships, in particular with
software providers, knowledge management and the Data and Digital teams.
• Support the HSSEW team to ensure the business Is compliant with legislation
- Including DSE & occupational health
• Delivery of presentations and training to groups & Individuals.
• Oversee and act as key point of contact for our Internal digital systems
ensuring they are effective and being used to their best functionality.
• Act with autonomy to assess escalation requirements where data shows the
need against agreed procedures.
• Provide expert assistance to HSSEW leaders & managers on any enterprise
wide projects to ensure they are effectively managed through to completion
• Identify opportunities and Improvements within our software systems and
data collation
• Support the HSSEW team to achieve full compliance with procurement
procedures and robust business planning
• Provide cover of Team Coordinator role when required
• Operate flexibly across the business and deliver broader adhoc projects as
required and agreed based on business and team need.
Most important skills based requirements:
• HSSEW knowledge Is preferable. Willingness to work towards
qualifications associated to HSSEW Including NEBOSH.
• Ability to act with autonomy to manage deliverables
• Strong presentation and communications skills.
• Excellent organisational skills with a high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Natural aptitude for building effective relationships with peers, colleagues of all
levels and a wide variety of stakeholders.
• Good influencing and diplomacy skills in dealing with difficult issues along with a
firm understanding on the importance of complete confidentiality.
• Advanced user of Microsoft 365 and data software systems.
• Able to be flexible in working hours, willing to pitch in on occasional events and
respond to after-hours requirements and after hours cover as needed.
• Demonstrable experience in the ability to work flexibly and role model agility by
working on any adhoc projects and flexibly across the business as required by
business need.
This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.
